I'm a nonfiction book junkie. I've got a soft spot for books on evolutionary theory, the Gilded Age, war-torn Indochina, gender constructs, and sweeping theories on world history. Eclectic interests is the new world order of the internet age. My reading sessions are often joined by a tumbler of whiskey, an open mind, and a few healthy opinions.
I'm socially liberal (I'm gay, after all, and prefer not resenting myself), financially moderate, and never not surprised by the interplay of function and dysfunction in the American political system.
"One of the reasons mature people stop learning is that they become less and less willing to risk failure." -John W. Gardner
